OATLANDS

Most of our readers will have been made aware, by public advertisements, of the intended opening of a grammar school in this central township, under the management of the Rev. William Trollope, M.A., of Pembroke College, Cambridge.

To many the name of Mr. Trollope wiil be already familiar, as that of a ripe scholar and author in classics and theology. The Analecta Theologica, editions of the Greek Testament, Homer, and the Pentalogia, Justin Martyr, and the Liturgy of St. James are among his many publications.

"It's an ill wind that blows nobody good," - and the necessity which, we regret to learn was laid upon Mr. Trollope of seeking a warmer climate than that of England, will be a certain gain to this colony not we trust without benefit to himself. - "Tasmanian Church Chronicle, March."
